ACERCA DE NOSOTROS
NARA - Nido de Águilas Residencia Artística - es un espacio para conectarse con la naturaleza a través de los procesos creativos. Es un entorno para disfrutar, aprender, conocer la vida rural de Villa de Leyva y vincularse con las costumbres y tradiciones de su comunidad.
Además de facilitar el desarrollo de los proyectos artísticos de sus residentes, NARA ofrece distintas actividades que los complementan y enriquecen: caminar entre paisajes naturales, preparar la tierra, sembrar, recolectar, interactuar con artistas locales, con la comunidad rural y conocer las dinámicas socio-culturales de la región. El vínculo con el contexto es el eje principal de esta experiencia.
Esta residencia forma parte del proyecto Nido de Águilas, ubicada en la zona de amortiguación del santuario de flora y fauna de Iguaque, cuna de la cultura muisca y de campesinos ancestrales. Se encuentra en la vereda Llano Blanco, municipio de Villa de Leyva, departamento de Boyacá, Colombia. Ambos proyectos trabajan en conjunto y se retroalimentan, con el fin de promover el intercambio de saberes entre disciplinas como el arte y la naturaleza.

- Brindar un espacio natural que estimule la producción artística
- Generar un intercambio con el territorio y quienes lo habitan para poner en valor los saberes locales
- Crear y fortalecer la red de artistas locales e internacionales
ABOUT US

NARA - Nido de Águilas Artistic Residency - is a space conceived to reconnect with nature through creative processes. It is a place to enjoy fresh air, get to know the rural life of Villa de Leyva, and learn about the customs and traditions of its local community.
The main intention of this experience is to deepen our relationship with our natural environment, bringing conscience and awareness of our interdependence.
Besides facilitating the best possible development of each artist’s project, NARA offers complementary activities that enrich the stay of its residents, such as: hiking through the mountains, preparing the land, sowing, harvesting, meeting local artists, and community members, and learning about the social dynamics of the region.
NARA takes place in Nido de Águilas, Experimental Habitat & Nature Reserve. The aforementioned is located in the buffer zone of the Iguaque Flora & Fauna Sanctuary, cradle of Muisca culture and home of ancestral peasants. It stands on Llano Blanco village, in Villa de Leyva municipality, Boyacá, Colombia.
Both projects work interrelated, share the same values, and enrich mutually. They foster an exchange of knowledge between disciplines as different as art and agriculture.

HÁBITAT EXPERIMENTAL
NIDO DE ÁGUILAS
En esta reserva se respira aire fresco y se equilibran los sentidos. Nido de Águilas fomenta y practica la agricultura limpia y naturalizada, basada en la nutrición de suelos a partir de abonos orgánicos, la alelopatía y los flujos energéticos que ayudan a restituir la riqueza de la tierra para producir alimentos más sanos. Nido de Águilas es un lugar donde se custodian semillas nativas-naturalizadas; semillas libres y limpias, patrimonio de la humanidad. Se trabaja con un enfoque teórico-práctico que pone en valor el conocimiento local.
NARA residencia artística se inserta en este contexto y comparte los mismos valores que Nido de Águilas. Uno de los principales intereses de esta dinámica es fomentar nuevas relaciones entre los residentes y las dinámicas del lugar.
NIDO DE ÁGUILAS EXPERIMENTAL HABITAT
The fresh air on this reserve will bring harmony to your senses! In Nido de Águilas we practice and encourage clean, naturalized agriculture based on organic fertilizers, allelopathy and the use of energy flows to restore the wealth of the land and grow healthier food.
Correlative to this, Nido de Águilas has a native-naturalized seeds bank. Clean seeds that we understand as world heritage.
The reserve works with a theoretical-practical approach that aims to highlight the value of ancient ​​local knowledge, and open new relationships with the inhabitants of the place.
NARA residency shares the same values as Experimental Habitat. One of the main interests of this collaboration is to foster new relationships between NARA’s residents and the dynamics of the place.

El residente realizará actividades complementarias propias del entorno para enriquecer el proceso creativo y el conocimiento personal al interactuar con artistas, artesanos locales y con el entorno natural.

-Visita y charla con artistas locales (esta actividad será organizada en función de los intereses de los artistas residentes y las disponibilidad de los artistas locales) Podrán visitarse especialistas en: Joyería · Escultura · Cerámica · Arquitectura en tierra · Música · Cestería · Artesanía de hilado de la lana · Artesanía de tejido de fibras naturales.
